Hosting a Meeting

As a host, you have full authority on how meetings are managed.

Inviting Participants to a Meeting

If you are the meeting host and would like to add meeting participants, follow these steps:

  1. You have the option to search for a person in Contacts, dial a number directly, or share a link via Share Link in order to receive your Magicall Link to share with the new participant.

A meeting has a limit of 50 participants and up to 16 Video streamers.

Enabling or Disabling Camera and Audio

As the meeting host, you can mute and turn off cameras.

Audio and Video Permissions

You may also choose to enable or disable audio or camera capabilities for the entire meeting group. Select More options beside Attendees on the left side of the meeting screen to view all enable/disable options.

There, you will see the following:

  • Disable All Cameras

  • Enable All Cameras

  • Disable All Microphones

  • Enable All Microphones

These options lock or unlock the participant's abilities to use their microphones or cameras. For example, if you select Disable All Cameras, cameras will be turned off and they will be unable to show their video in the meeting until Enable All Cameras is selected again.

Recording a Meeting

After clicking there, you will be presented with the options to Record Only Audio or Record Video and Audio. After making your selection, click on Start Recording.

When the call is being recorded, a red "REC" will be shown near the red end call icon.

Ending a Meeting

Only the host has the capability to end a meeting.

As the host, follow these steps to do so:

  1. Confirm that you would like to end the meeting by clicking on End Conference Call.

Note: After the call is ended, the conference name, organizer(s), start date/time and end date/time will be shown.
