Audio & Video Calls

Audio and video calls are a main feature of Webphone. Find out more information here on how to start and receive calls from both your browser and the mobile app.

Starting an Audio or Video Call

You can start a call via the following options:

  1. From a Conversation.

  2. From the Contact Directory dial pad.

  3. From a Contact Directory Contact Card.

  4. From Contact Details.

From a Conversation

To start a call from your browser:

  1. Go to the Conversations tab on the left sidebar of your Webphone.

  2. Open the Conversation with the contact that you would like to call.

  3. Your call will begin right away. By default, the call will be in audio mode, but video can also be enabled.

From the Contact Directory Dial Pad

From your browser:

  1. Go to the Calls and Contacts tab on the left sidebar of your Webphone.

  2. Type a phone number in the input field on the dial pad in the bottom left corner.

  3. The call button will be enabled as soon as you enter a valid phone number.

From a Contact Directory Contact Card

From your browser:

  1. Go to the Calls and Contacts tab on the left sidebar of your Webphone.

From Contact Details

From your browser:

  1. Open a Conversation.

  2. You will then see a button that says Call. Click this button to call the contact.

Receiving a Call

When a teammate calls you on Webphone, you will receive an incoming call dialog displaying the details of the call. You can accept the call by clicking the green button, or reject the call by clicking the red button.

You can configure your connected phone numbers in Webphone for simultaneous ringing. This means that when a call comes to Webphone, your connected phone numbers will also receive the call.

Inviting Participants to a Call

A group call has a limit of 9 participants.

If you're in a call using your browser and need to add a new participant, follow these guidelines:

2. An Add Participant screen will appear. Search for the person you would like to add and their contact card will appear.

4. Your teammate has now officially joined!
