A Group is an organization of people who need to communicate about specific tasks, projects, or workstreams. They can be utilized for teammates in order to discuss certain subjects.
Groups are a great place to have conversations related to a project or topic. For example, you could have Groups such as Customer Service Team, or Rebranding Project.
Other examples of Groups include:
By team (i.e. Marketing, Sales)
By project (i.e. New Website, New Client)
By time period (i.e. Q1 2017, Summer 2018)
The following is an example of a Group in action:
Groups typically start a conversation around a team subject. When a subject becomes specified or a conversation begins to focus on a particular subject, Topics can be created to highlight and streamline a particular discussion. They also allow for conversations to be organized and categorized, facilitating easier communication.
Topics are organized inside Groups that represent specific topics. Examples of this include Feedback/Improvement on Test or Troubleshooting of Product.
Tip: Everyone in a Group can browse and read Topics. When a new Topic is created, people in the Group will be notified and see the new Topic as unread in their Missed Activities tab.
Topics make it easy to keep track of multiple conversations at once without getting overwhelmed.
You can quickly search for and find old conversations with all of the original context.
You can save and share relevant links to any Topic for easy reference later.
